‘Cyborg’ Justino — Ronda Rousey’s a Bad Role Model … Can’t Just Quit When You Lose (VIDEO)

THINK ABOUT THE CHILDREN!!!!

That’s Cris “Cyborg” Justino‘s message to Ronda Rousey — explaining why Rousey is a terrible role model for not getting back in the Octagon after her loss to Holly Holm.

Check out the clip … Justino also says Ronda’s no Conor McGregor — because Conor went up in weight to fight tougher opponents and Ronda refuses to go up to fight her.

FYI, Cyborg fights on Saturday at UFC Fight Night 95 — and says she will once again prove why there’s NO WOMAN in the UFC who can hang with her.

Bourne’s Alicia Vikander smashes through the glass ceiling

Alicia Vikander plays Heather Lee, a cyber ops chief at the CIA in Jason Bourne

Alicia Vikander plays Heather Lee, a cyber ops chief at the CIA in Jason Bourne

Alicia Vikander walked into the hotel room and effortlessly leaped onto the sofa, with a grace that hinted at her childhood ballet years.

Very politely she asked if she could remove her zebra-print heels before beginning to rub some life back into her feet.

I chuckled because I had just watched her opposite Matt Damon in director Paul Greengrass’s scorching thriller Jason Bourne, the latest in the spy action movies.

She plays Heather Lee, a cyber ops chief at the CIA — and unlike the well-mannered Alicia, it’s made immediately clear that Heather is not to be trifled with. ‘Move!’ she ordered underlings when her character took over a computer terminal.

It’s said with such brusque ruthlessness that even her screen boss, played by Tommy Lee Jones, momentarily blanched . ‘Paul kept telling me to say “Move” louder and faster. “Push it,” he kept saying,’ she recalled.

Well, the moment worked because the extras playing the analysts were real computer operatives hired to give the scene a smack of authenticity — and they shifted sharpish.

Alicia, who won the best supporting actress Oscar for her role opposite Eddie Redmayne in The Danish Girl, said that people who hadn’t seen the film (which opens on July 29) assumed she was just the ‘love interest’.

‘It was never in the script and there was never any discussion that I was there for the you-know-what,’ she told me. ‘We have to start from scratch and stop assuming that once a woman is in a film she’s arm candy.

‘But I think things are changing and it’s up to us to make sure that arm candy is not the norm in how we see women in general.’

Having characters like Heather is part of the step-by-step process that has slowly been happening for a while now, she told me.

We met not long after Theresa May moved into No 10, and Alicia hopes there will come a time when we won’t need to comment on the fact that a woman has become prime minister or is running for the U.S. presidency .

During pre-production for Jason Bourne she realised that her character would have gone to one of the top Ivy League colleges in the States and studied with the cream of the crop. Such people get snapped up as soon as they graduate. The CIA and other intelligence agencies recruit the best, too.

It’s interesting watching her interact with her boss, Jones. He’s her mentor, but you can almost see her calculating how she’ll usurp him. ‘She’s realising that her time is coming,’ said Alicia. She and Damon work well together and it would be great to see them do so again if another Bourne picture ever gets made.

But in the meantime Vikander has plenty to keep her occupied. She’s about to re-join James McAvoy on the set of Wim Wenders’ film Submergence, based on J.M. Ledgard’s novel, in which she plays an oceanographer.

After that Vikander will produce and star in Euphoria, alongside Eva Green and Charlotte Rampling.

The Venice Film Festival will see the launch of The Light Between The Oceans, where she plays the wife of a lighthouse keeper, played by Michael Fassbender. The tale, set in Western Australia, is based on M.L. Stedman’s heart-breaking book about a childless couple who believe their plea to be parents has been answered.

Then there’s a Tomb Raider re-boot which will shoot next year — but there’s little she’s allowed to say about it.

 Watch out for…

Alistair Beaton, who updates key sections of his new comedy Fracked! (Or Please Don’t’ Use the F-Word) whenever the occasion merits.

The play, running at Chichester’s Minerva Theatre and reviewed in today’s paper on page 48, is about the controversial issue of digging way deep for energy in a picturesque South Coast village.

A smooth-talking public relations bloke, the sharp Oliver Chris, is hired to worm his way into the hearts and minds of the locals — played with verve by Anne Reid and James Bolam.

One topical gag Beaton had Chris mouth was to do with the hopeless Southern railways. It went down a treat. A couple of weeks ago there was a joke about the Tory leader hopeful Andrea Leadsom deciding to have her children adopted — by her political rival Theresa May.

Once Leadsom quit the leadership race the gag was dropped. I did a double bill last weekend of Fracked! and Half A Sixpence — and I got my money’s worth .

Robert Icke, who is adapting Friedrich Schiller’s Mary Stuart, about an imagined meeting between Mary Queen of Scots and Elizabeth I, said his version of the play will look at ‘female sexuality and how it interacts with female power’.

He observed that there are quite a few examples around at the moment. The play, starring Juliet Stevenson and Lia Williams in alternating roles, will run at the Almeida Theatre from December 2 until January 21.

Beverley Knight and Ben Richards, who were both on fire when I saw the new, lean The Bodyguard at the Dominion in London on Tuesday.

Everything about it worked. And as I remarked last week, Ms Knight emerges as a bona fide West End star. No longer the soul diva doing a bit of acting in her spare time, she looks and feels very much at home on stage.

It’s a good ensemble and I liked Rachel John, who plays the sister of main character Rachel Marron. The Bodyguard has taken £2million at the box office, which is great for a show that’s only running till January.

I didn’t manage to catch Don Warrington’s towering King Lear in director Michael Buffong’s production, which was produced by the Talawa Theatre, Manchester’s Royal Exchange and the Birmingham Rep.

But I saw it online at bbc.co.uk/shakespearelives where its available on demand until September as part of the BBC/British Council Shakespeare Lives digital festival. It’s unmissable.

Brad Pitt — Angelina Just Put Our Kids in Danger

0920-angelina-jolie-brad-pitt-tmz-04Angelina Jolie has put her kids at risk by calling out Brad Pitt as a bad dad … so claim sources connected to Brad.

We’re told Pitt is “furious” at Angelina for allegedly spinning stories that he poses a risk to their kids because of anger issues fueled by weed and alcohol. Pitt says there’s now a bounty on the heads of the entire family, because they’ve now become a prime target for the gaggle of paparazzi.

We’re told the way Brad put it is this … “She’s just unleashed hell.”

0920-brad-angelina-police-house-akm-02The perimeter of their Hollywood Hills home is now blanketed by photogs, and the LAPD is now patrolling at regular intervals.

We’re told Brad had conversations with Angelina over the last few days and pleaded for her to handle the divorce “like adults.” He wanted to low-key it for the benefit of the kids. Instead, he says, she went scorched earth by asking for sole physical custody and suggesting he’s a risky dad.

Brad, we’re told, is angry at Angelina and fearful for their kids.

The actress, 47, ‘admittedly feels sort of satisfied about Brad and Angelina’s split’ according to the insider.

Aniston and Pitt wed in 2000 and split in 2005, and while Jennifer has gone on to marry actor-writer Justin Theroux in 2015, her previous marriage to Brad remains a fascinating subject.

The two met in 1999 after being set up on a blind date by both their agents. After dating for two years the couple then got engaged and subsequently married in Malibu in 2000.

Angelina filed papers on Monday citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split and asking for physical custody of the couple's six children - Maddox, age 15; Pax, aged 12; Zahara, aged 11; Shiloh, aged 10; and twins Vivienne and Knox, aged eight (seen here in 2014)

Aniston was still filming Friends when they were together. Brad even appeared as a guest star in season eight, episode nine of the show – The One With The Rumor.

Ironically Brad’s character, Will Colbert, hated her character Rachel Green for the special Thanksgiving episode.

In 2004 wax figures of Brad and Aniston were unveiled at Madame Tussauds in London, a few months before their separation.

In September of 2004 the couple were experiencing complications, which is when he started filming Mr And Mrs Smith with Angelina.

In January 2005 they publicly announced their separation.

Angelina filed papers on Monday citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split and asking for physical custody of the couple’s six children – Maddox, age 15; Pax, aged 12; Zahara, aged 11; Shiloh, aged 10; and twins Vivienne and Knox, aged eight.

‘What Angelina did was very uncool’: Jennifer expressed disdain for Angelina in a 2008 Vogue article; Jolie and Brad were pictured in 2009

Jennifer spoke out about Brad and Angelina for the first time since her own split from the actor in a September 2005 interview with Vanity Fair.

‘Am I lonely? Yes. Am I upset? Yes. Am I confused? Yes. Do I have my days when I’ve thrown a little pity party for myself? Absolutely. But I’m also doing really well,’ Jennifer said.

She took issue with reports that she didn’t want children.

‘A man divorcing would never be accused of choosing career over children,’ Jennifer told Vanity Fair. ‘I’ve never in my life said I didn’t want children. I did and I do and I will.’

‘It’s just complicated,’ she went on. ‘There are all these levels of growth — and when you stop growing together, that’s when the problems happen.’

She was just as ‘shocked’ as everybody when pictures surfaced of Brad and Angelina and her then-three-year-old son Maddox on a beach in Africa.

‘The world was shocked and I was shocked,’ Jennifer said.

She also suffered when W magazine published a fashion spread that showed Brad and Angelina as a married couple with children, 1960s style (Brad’s concept) – before Brad and Jennifer’s divorce was final.

‘You joke and say, “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger,”‘ she lamented.

‘There’s a sensitivity chip that’s missing,’ Jennifer said of Pitt at the time. ‘But it’s not my life. He makes his choices. He can do – whatever. We’re (soon to be) divorced and you can see why.’

Harsh words: The former Friends star said of Angelina's 2007 Vogue interview: 'I felt those details were a little inappropriate to discuss'

Harsh words: The former Friends star said of Angelina’s 2007 Vogue interview: ‘I felt those details were a little inappropriate to discuss’

Jennifer spoke out about Brad and Angelina in a 2008 Vogue interview during which she said, ‘What Angelina did was very uncool.’

The harsh words were how Jennifer felt about Angelina revealed intimate details about her life with Brad in a 2007 interview with the same magazine.

‘There was stuff printed there that was definitely from a time when I was unaware that it was happening,’ Jennifer told Vogue writer Jonathan Van Meter, who had spoken to Angelina the year before.

Jennifer felt the part where Angelina described the excitement she felt seeing her then-married co-star on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith a direct hit.

‘I felt those details were a little inappropriate to discuss,’ Aniston said.

‘I basically just answered it as honestly as I could,’ Aniston told Oprah Winfrey of that revealing Vogue interview not long after the magazine hit the newsstands.

She went on to gush about Brad, telling Oprah: ‘He’s done some amazing things in the last couple of years. So I just think he’s doing great.

‘We have exchanged a few very kind hellos and wishing you wells and sending you love and congratulations on your babies.’

Jennifer continued: ‘It’s funny when you hit a place in a relationship and you both realize, We maybe need to do something else, but you still really, really love each other. I deeply, deeply care about him; we talk, we adore one another. And that’s where it is.’

Sherri Shepherd couldn’t prove that her ex defrauded her, she still has to pay $$$

wenn3661054

In July 2014, Sherri Shepherd’s messy divorce drama was splashed all over the gossip sites. Sherri had been married to a man named Lamar Sally, and Sally was a shady golddigger (according to Sherri). Lamar had convinced Sherri to have a baby through surrogacy, although the child would not end up having any biological connection to Sherri (as in, they didn’t use Sherri’s eggs). When Sherri filed the divorce papers, she told the court that she had no interest in paying child support to Lamar to raise a child who wasn’t “hers” biologically, even though at one point she did sign on to the surrogacy.

Move ahead to one year later. Over the summer, Sherri was ordered to pay child support for the child she never wanted (and has no interest in raising), but the court left open the possibility that if Sherri could prove that Lamar defrauded her, she wouldn’t have to pay the $ 4100 a month in child support. Well, guess what? She couldn’t prove fraud.

Time for Sherri Shepherd to crack open that checkbook — her last ditch effort to avoid paying child support to her ex was shot down in court. Sherri had claimed her estranged husband Lamar Sally defrauded her by getting a surrogate to carry a baby for them. She thinks he did it only for the purpose of securing a fat child support check, once he knew they were divorcing.

Well, Lamar is going to get that check after all — because an appeals court agreed with the lower court’s decision that Sherri was fully on board with the surrogate plan and in fact, paid for most of the process. Bottom line for Sherri, she’ll continue with the terms of their settlement … paying $ 4,100 per month until the infant hits 13 — then it’s $ 4,600. We suggest auto-pay. Less fuss.

[From TMZ]

As I said in the previous stories, while this is an extremely tricky legal and ethical set of problems, I do think the court came down with the right decision. Do I think Lamar Sally is as pure as snow? Of course not. He’s shady as hell and getting financial support from Sherri probably was his endgame. But! Sherri didn’t have to agree to the surrogacy. She didn’t have to sign the paperwork. She didn’t have to pay for most of it. She really did “want” this child in the eyes of the law, and once the child was gestating in the surrogate’s womb, there were no take-backs.

Kaley Cuoco got a moth tattoo to cover up her anniversary tatt: ugly or fine?

wenn22320897

Just after her New Year’s Eve wedding in 2013, Kaley Cuoco memorialized her anniversary date with Roman numerals tattooed on top of her shoulder blades. She had “XII” (12), “XXXI” (31), “XIII” (13) put on and during various events for the past two years, she’s proudly displayed those tattoos. But since splitting with Ryan Sweeting, I guess Kaley didn’t want the visual reminder. And I guess lasering the tattoos wasn’t an option. So Kaley just had an ugly moth tattooed OVER the Roman numerals:

kaley2

Hideous, right? Kaley posted that photo and another one on her Instagram on Tuesday, writing: “Thank you @nero_sct @studiocitytattoo for helping me right my wrongs.. note to self- do not mark your body with any future wedding dates #under30mistakes #donttakeyourselftooseriouslykids.” Under-30 mistakes… hm. Is that a thing? I think “under 30 mistakes” should be like “whoops, I should have invested in that stock earlier” or “I really shouldn’t have had a one-night stand with that guy.” An under-30 mistake is “whoa, I should not have gotten that pixie cut.” An under-30 mistake is not moving in with a guy on the first date, getting engaged to him a month later and then trying to convince the world that it’s not all just some stupid rebound from Henry Cavill.

She also wrote: “@nero_sct the deep, meaningful, larger than life meaning behind this beautiful piece of ink, is….. It covered the last one.” At least she’s honest about that.

Prince William’s employer asks for charitable donations for a kitchen redo

wenn23208449

Here are some photos of Prince William flying solo at the Tusk Conservation Awards last night in London. William is very involved, consistently, with the Tusk Trust, a conservation and anti-poaching foundation. William often goes solo to Tusk Trust events, possibly because Kate doesn’t care that much, possibly because William wants at least one issue that is solely “his,” and possibly because Jecca Craig is also involved with Tusk Trust. Incidentally, I heard that Jecca Craig got married a few months ago, but it was just a random Twitter report and there was no mention of it in the British tabloids. Suspicious? Absolutely.

William helped hand out awards at this event, and he made a speech about the importance of wildlife conservation, which you can read here. We complain about William and his petty tyrant act so much, but I’m perfectly willing to acknowledge that his work on conservation is fine, even admirable. It also strikes me that William has stepped up his “work” schedule more in the past two months, and whatever happened to his job at East Anglian Air Ambulance? Is he already bored and taking time off constantly? Probably, but so far, the British papers are keeping quiet. There was this absolutely fascinating story in the Daily Mail though:

Prince William’s employers are appealing for people to donate essential household appliances for the East Anglian Air Ambulance offices. The charity has launched a Facebook appeal for 55in televisions to furnish new offices built for the Duke of Cambridge and his colleagues – just months after he joined as an air ambulance pilot. The EAAA plans to put the televisions in the boardroom and training room so the crew can watch training videos.

The charity is also appealing for a large larder fridge, under counter fridge, under counter freezer, dishwasher and microwave for the new two-storey operations base at Cambridge International Airport, believed to be at least a quarter of a million pounds. Until now, Prince William and the crew have had to use a tiny room at the back of the main airport building as a base, which staff have previously described as ‘cosy.’

The new building, which is set to be unveiled next month and is much bigger than the current offices, will feature a canteen and sleeping accommodation. The EAAA wrote on Facebook: ‘EAAA needs your help! The crew and clinical team are moving to our new base at the Cambridge airport very soon. We are asking our lovely supporters and generous companies to help us furnish the new accommodation. We need a large larder fridge, an under counter fridge, an under counter freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave and 55′ TVs. If you can support us by donating any white goods, please get in touch!’

One Cambridge resident, who did not want to be named, said on Tuesday: ‘You would think William would have a spare microwave or fridge after taking out his old kitchen at Anmer Hall in Norfolk.’

[From The Daily Mail]

Dear anonymous Cambridge resident: I love you and your sick burns. Marry me!!! It’s true. William and Kate got bored and spent millions of pounds doing neverending renovations on Anmer Hall and Kensington Palace. The Anmer reno included ripping out a perfectly beautiful kitchen just so the Middletons would have a more modern kitchen in which to get sh-tfaced on organic daiquiris. I wonder what happened to all of the stuff they didn’t “need”? I wonder why the EAAA needs those donations when the royal family had to “donate” an air ambulance just so William could play-act normalcy? And is he still pulling a salary and claiming that he “donates” it to charity?
