Amber Heard and Elon Musk Confirm Their Split via Instagram

With social media at their disposal, celebrities no longer need to release big, bombastic statements through a publicist, when just a simple comment on Instagram can get the job done. Or at least, that seems to be the case for tech billionaire Elon Musk, who recently confirmed his split from actress Amber Heard by commenting on one of her Instagram posts.

Last Sunday, news broke that Heard and Musk broke up after one year of dating. According to sources, the reason behind the break up was timing and a busy schedule. “The timing wasn’t good for them. He’s super busy and works all the time. Amber is filming Aquaman in Australia until October. She’s in no position to settle with him. She feels her career is just starting.”

So on Monday, the Aquaman star posted posted a picture of herself sticking a fork into her red hair (dyed for her role in the film) above a still from The Little Mermaid, in which Ariel tries to comb her hair with a fork.

Among the many comments, Musk surprisingly added a comment of his own saying “V cute,” alongside a heart emoji. When the fans asked him about the status of their relationship, the billionaire offered a comment that went into more detail:

“Btw, just to clear up some of the press storm this weekend, although Amber and I did break up, we are still friends, remain close and love one another. Long distance relationships when both partners have intense work obligations are always difficult, but who knows what the future holds.”

The actress also offered her own statement on the photo sharing plataform.

“Being in the public eye means having to explain yourself to so many people, so much of the time. In this case, I’d like to remain more quiet”, the actress said on an Instagram post. “Although we have broken up, Elon and I care deeply for one another and remain close. Thank you for the continued support, respect, and privacy during these difficult, very human times.”

This was the first high profile relationship for Heard after her divorce from Johnny Depp. Heard and Musk first met in 2013 on set of Machete Kills.

Adele Treats Young Grenfell Tower Survivors to a Private Screening of Despicable Me 3

A beautiful voice and a generous heart. Adele treated children who survived the Grenfell Tower fire in London to a private screening of Despicable Me 3.

The superstar has received praise and thanks on social media from families of the Grenfell tragedy for taking young victims of the incident out on a day trip to Whitley Cinema in London for the film screening.

“When my son Boulevard sees Adele singing in front of huge crowds looking so amazing in her lovely gowns and make-up, with her hair all done, he feels very special that he got to see her like he sees his own Mum (me) most days!” said a mother of one of the children.

The mother also shared a photo of her son with the songstress.

And another member of the community also thanked the “amazing” Adele for taking his “grandkids to the cinema. So much love & effort for the #Grenfell kids – thank you.”

The Hello singer has been active in supporting victims and rescue workers, raising money through her performances by asking concertgoers to donate to her Grenfell Tower fund.

“I can’t possibly tell you… how out of control and chaotic it still is,” she said. “Today it’s two weeks since it happened, and they’re being neglected now as they were before the fire. And I really promise you that any money that you raise will get to them… It’s our job as human beings to be compassionate. And if you don’t have a social conscience, you can grow one… it does come with age. But ask questions and demand answers.”

She also met firefighters who helped almost immediately after the incident, and was pictured helping on that same night along with her husband, Simon Konecki.

“Being a local Londoner, she’s made no secret about how personally affected she was by the Grenfell Tower blaze and wants to help in every way she can. While she’s working hard behind the scenes to raise cash, she wanted to treat residents to a night of fun and help take their minds off what happened and organised a private viewing of the brand new Despicable Me 3 movie. Everyone was overwhelmed by her generosity”, said one source.

The deadly fire left at least 80 people dead. A total of 65 people were rescued from the building by firefighters and a number of those injured still remain in the hospital.

Anna Faris and Chris Pratt Announced That They’re “Legally Separating”

In a new Hollywood edition of “Love is dead”, Anna Faris and Chris Pratt announced that they’re splitting up after eight years of marriage.

While the world was watching Daenerys riding a dragon and burning an entire battalion in Game of Thrones on Sunday night, Anna Faris announced via social media that she and husband Chris Pratt were” legally separating”.

“We are sad to announce we are legally separating,” the Mom actress posted. “We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still love each other and will always cherish our time together.”

The Guardians of the Galaxy star posted the same message on Facebook soon after and added that they’ll “continue to have the deepest respect for one another”. The pair married in 2009, two years after meeting on the set of ’80s comedy Take Me Home Tonight back in 2007. They have one child together, a son, Jack , who was born in 2012.

Faris talked about their marriage in a podcast interview in December 2016, and admitted that they “grappled with a lot of the ideas of being a public couple.”

The comedy star explained that their relationship was tested after reports of Pratt cheating surfaced in 2015, “when there were some tabloid rumors about strain in our relationship.”

“I take pride in how great my relationship is with Chris, but having said that, of course, in this crazy world where he’s off doing movies and I’m in L.A. raising our child, of course I’m going to feel vulnerable, like any normal human would,” Faris said. She admitted that even though she knew the rumors weren’t true, it made her “feel incredibly insecure.”

Pratt also talked in a 2015 interview about the hardship of being away from his family and how appreciative he was of being with someone like Faris, an actress that could understand that particular problem. “It doesn’t hurt that I’m with somebody who’s been, for longer than me, super recognizable and famous and working nonstop,” he said. “It’s a lot to ask somebody to understand, or expect somebody to understand, why you have to be away for so long. But she’s, like, ‘Dude, I get it, of course you have to go.'”

Halle Berry says that Malia Obama was an “amazing” intern

Halle Berry talks about what Malia Obama was like as an intern. During her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the Oscar winner talked about what it was like having the former first daughter as a production assistant or PA, on her former TV show Extant

“She was fantastic. She was amazing. She is such a smart, beautiful, young woman,” Berry said about working with former President Barack Obama’s eldest daughter back in 2014. “Look at who her mother and her father are, so duh! She was amazing.”

While someone in Malia’s position as a Production Assistant is usually expected to help the cast and crew with tasks like fetching coffee, Berry admits that being part of the first family didn’t stop Obama, 19, from doing her job.

“I was such a huge fan of her. She was amazing. She was down to do whatever a PA is asked to do and I had wild respect for her for that,” said the actress, currently promoting her new film Kidnap.  “But everybody couldn’t really see her as a PA. Although she tried and tried to be one, we just couldn’t really see her as one, but to her credit, she tried very hard to be one.”

Obama interned for the show in 2014, while her father was still the president. Berry joked she was more eager to ask, “Can we call your dad or your mom?”

Berry is not the only one singing praises of Malia. Her former Extant costar, Camryn Manheim has also talked about what it was like working with her.

“I can tell you that [Malia] is graceful, and lovely, and just charming and delightful. She’s pretty remarkable. I mean, they are a remarkable family,” she said, back in 2014. “When you get hoisted into the spotlight like that, and you grow up under the scrutiny of everybody, and to come out being so charming and in charge of herself, with so much poise, it’s beautiful.”

Selena Gomez opens up about her relationship with The Weeknd

Selena Gomez opens up about her ‘great’ relationship with The Weeknd in a new interview, where she refers to him as her ‘best friend’.

The singer/actress/producer wants her fans to know that she doesn’t rely on a relationship to make her feel complete, but right now she’s over the moon, enjoying the time that she spends with the singer.

“I really am [happy]. It’s great. I don’t depend on one area of my life to make me happy,” Selena said. “It’s really important for me to love and nourish my friends and family and to make sure that I never get influenced by a guy. I’ve wanted to be in a strong headspace for years, and I really wasn’t. Before, I was so young and easily influenced, and I’d feel insecure. You want someone to add to your life, not to complete you, if that makes sense. I’m lucky because he’s more of a best friend than anything else.”

Selena also talked about how she’s feeling after taking a mental health break.

“It’s so weird, how one year can change everything. Last year I canceled my tour and went away for 90 days, and it was the best thing that I ever could’ve done. I had no phone, nothing, and I was scared. But it was amazing, and I learned a lot. Everything I cared about, I stopped caring about. I came out, and it felt like, ‘OK, I can only go forward.’ And there are still days. I go to therapy. I believe in that and talking about where you are. But I’m in a really, really healthy place.”

The Fetish singer also said that she’s feeling more fearless and talked about her desire to be a better person. “I’m not afraid to be wrong now. Because I would rather say, ‘I stand by this.’ You have to not be afraid to make mistakes because that’s how you figure it all out. I’m ambitious in every area of my life. I want to be a better daughter, a better friend, a better influencer. I want to feel something.”

Justin Bieber apologizes to fans in a heartfelt Instagram Post

Sorry is more than the title of Bieber’s big hit. After the recent cancellation of the remaining dates from his Purpose World Tour at the end of July, Justin Bieber decided to explain to his fans the real reasons behind this decision.

The press speculated that Bieber’s involvement with the Hillsong Church and his allegiance to pastor Carl Lenz was the real reason behind this huge career move, but the popstar dedicated a very special Instagram post to clarify.

In his post today, Bieber said that he was working on himself and surrounding himself with people who would help him be the man he wants to be.

He wrote, “I am extremely blessed to have people in the past few years help me build my character back up reminding me of who I am and who I want to be!!!”

Bieber also added, “My past decisions and past relationships won’t dictate my future decisions and my future relationships. I’m VERY aware I’m never gonna be perfect, and I’m gonna keep making mistakes. I wanna be a man that learns from them and grows from them!! I want you all to know this tour has been unbelievable and has taught me so much about myself. I am reminded of how blessed I am to have a voice in this world. I’ve learned the more you appreciate your calling the more you want to protect your calling.”

And just in case people feared that the Grammy winner was leaving the music world behind, Bieber makes it clear that that he’s in it for the long haul but wants to make sure that he can have a better life in order to be a better performer and person.

“Me taking this time right now is me saying I want to be SUSTAINABLE. I want my career to be sustainable, but I also want my mind heart and soul to be sustainable so that I can be the man I want to be, the husband I eventually want to be and the father I want to be.”

In the lengthy post, Bieber adds, “This message is just an opportunity for you to know my heart, I’m not expecting anyone to understand, but I do want people to have an opportunity to know where I am coming from!”

Rihanna Is Sponsoring a Bike-Share Program for Girls in Malawi

Not all heroes wear capes. Rihanna’s charity, the Clara Lionel Foundation is partnering with Ofo, a bike-sharing program, to give scholarships and bikes to young girls in Malawi to keep them in school.

The popstar has been ramping up her efforts to further education in Malawi since visiting the southeast African country back in January, when she travelled to meet with educators, government officials, and students

The five-year partnership, called 1 KM Action, will provide scholarships to girls attending secondary schools along with bikes for them to use to get to school. Many girls drop out because their school is too far away from their home.

“I’m so happy about the Clara Lionel Foundation’s new partnership with Ofo because it will help so many young people around the world receive a quality education, and also help the young girls of Malawi get to school safely, cutting down those very long walks they make to and from school all alone,” Rihanna said in a statement.

“We are delighted to work with Rihanna and the Clara Lionel Foundation on this innovative initiative as we are keen to help improve education accessibility for students living in poverty,” says Ofo founder and CEO Dai Wei in a release. “We believe in unlocking every corner in the world with equal access to education as well as with our bike-sharing scheme.”

The partnership is expected to go beyond African borders, since the bike sharing company has plans to support the Clara Lionel Foundation in providing scholarships for students in China, Brazil, Barbados, Cuba, Haiti, Grenada, Guyana and Jamaica, and Rihanna herself met with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Elysee Palace to discuss educational funding for girls in France.

The Umbrella singer and philanthropist also shared a short documentary of her trip to Malawi, where she met with leaders and students as Ambassador for the Global Partnership for Education.

Kristen Stewart is open to date men again

In the September issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK, Kristen Stewart opened up about her love life and her sexuality. The Twilight star compared dating to eating sandwiches, and said that she wants “to try everything”.

The actress has dated both men, including former Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson, and women. She is currently dating model Stella Maxwell but she revealed that she’s open to a relationship with a man again.

Stewart said: “Yeah, totally. Definitely… Some people aren’t like that. Some people know that they like grilled cheese and they’ll eat it every day for the rest of their lives. I want to try everything. If I have grilled cheese once I’m like, ‘That was cool, what’s next?'”

The current indie queen opened up about past relationships, saying she was “deeply in love with everyone I’ve dated”.

She said: “Did you think I was faking it? I’ve always really embraced a duality. And really, truly, believed in it and never felt confused or struggling. I just didn’t like getting made fun of.”

When asked whether she suffers from “resting bitch face”, she said: “Completely. I’m really not introverted – I’m just not acting all the time, which is what it would take to look like how people expect famous people to behave. Men cannot say bitch any more, I’m sorry. Say something different. Say, ‘You’re rude,’ say, ‘You’re a dick,’ whatever. Just to say, ‘Oh that bitch.’

“You can’t say that because there’s nothing I could say to you, there’s no retort that would be equal to that, therefore it’s demeaning and literally on par with… something homophobic or something racist,” she added.

Also in the interview, Stewart admits she was teased for being a “tomboy” when she was younger.

“I remember being in the sixth grade [aged 11] and [people would say] ‘Kristen looks like a man. You’re a boy’, or whatever, and I was so offended, horrified and embarrassed,” she explains. “Now I look back on it and I’m like, ‘Girl, be proud of that!’ ”

James Franco Opens Up about his Battle with Depression

James Franco has admitted in a recent interview with OUT magazine that his career choice, his “very addictive” personality and an addiction to drugs and alcohol led him to depression, isolation, and loneliness.

“I have a very addictive personality. When I was a teenager I got over certain addictions, and that’s when I started acting, at age 17,” he said in the interview. “I really threw myself into it, and that became everything, to the point where I didn’t even socialize. And then after, like, 10 years of that, at age 27, I realized, Man, I’m so depressed. On the surface my life seems pretty good—I have a career and everything—but I feel isolated and lonely. So then I threw myself into school, but again it was just this sort of running, running, running.”

Despite the emotional effects his career has had on him, Franco insists he will continue to act in addition to directing. “I’ve got to say, of all the things that I’ve done, and I’ve done a lot, the actual process of directing is the most fun, because you’re in the middle of all these different creative people,” he said. “But no, I will not stop acting.”

Still, Franco assures that he will be more selective with the projects he takes on going forward. “Most actors come to a point in their lives where they have to reassess what they’re doing and why they’re doing it,” he said. “And for me, after going back to school and trying to do all these other things, this new chapter, with surfing and dancing, is really about slowing down and trying to focus on fewer things but in a deeper, more quality-filled way.”

The actor/director will be seen in his new film The Disaster Artist and in a new TV show, The Deuce, a new HBO series from David Simon, creator of The Wire.

Casey Affleck’s wife, Summer Phoenix, has filed for divorce

After announcing their separation in March 2016, model-actress Summer Phoenix has filed for divorce from her husband of almost ten years, Casey Affleck.

“Casey and Summer have amicably separated. They remain very close friends,” his rep told in a statement at the time.

Affleck and Phoenix were introduced by Summer’s older brother, Joaquin Phoenix, in 2000. They wed in 2006 in Savannah, Georgia, and are the parents of two children, Indiana, 13, and Atticus, 9.

Phoenix cited “irreconcilable differences” as grounds for the divorce, and is requesting spousal support and joint physical and legal custody of her and Affleck’s two kids.

The actor gave his estranged wife a shout-out during his acceptance speech at the Golden Globes on January 8.

“Despite how I might think that I’m in charge at my house, it’s my kids that give me permission to do this because they have got the strength of character to keep at bay all the noise that surrounds people that live publicly to let me travel for months at a time. I love you, Indiana and Atticus. Thank you very much,” he told the audience before adding, “And to their mom that gave me just about every good acting idea I ever had. Thank you very much, I love you.”

The news comes after a turbulent year for Affleck, who won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in Manchester by the Sea after he was plagued by sexual harassment allegations stemming from lawsuits filed by two women in 2010 who worked with him on the movie I’m Still Here.

Producer Amanda White and cinematographer Magdalena Gorka worked for Affleck on the set of his brother-in-law Joaquin Phoenix’s mockumentary and filed separate civil suits accusing Affleck of verbal and physical harassment. Affleck denied the accusations but settled with both women for undisclosed amounts.

Back in February, Affleck spoke out about the criticism, telling the Boston Globe, “I believe that any kind of mistreatment of anyone for any reason is unacceptable and abhorrent, and everyone deserves to be treated with respect in the workplace and anywhere else.”
