Leah Remini reveals she was asked to convert Kevin James to Scientology

Leah Remini is not holding anything back. The former King of Queens star revealed that she was asked to recruit Kevin James, her co-star on the hit sitcom, into the church of Scientology.

Remini’s was asked while she was still a member of the church but she did not want to involve James.

“They always tried to get me to, [asking] ‘Why is he not in? Why have you not promoted it to him?’ I was like, ‘Because he’s Catholic. He doesn’t want anything to do with it,'” the actress said. “They let it go after a while, but usually you’d be expected to recruit, especially with somebody you work with for nine years.”

A Scientology spokesman denied that Remini had been urged to recruit James, and said in a statement, “We have nothing to do with Kevin James and never attempted to ‘recruit’ him to the Church. How does Leah Remini bring this up now after she wrote an entire book and didn’t mention it? Remini does it to get attention.” The statement also reads, “the only thing we know about Kevin James is that Remini would repeatedly tell the Church that he was a bully and we tried to counsel her to be more open and communicate so they could get along better.”

The actress has been working in her A&E documentary series “Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath” that traces her departure from the church and her efforts to help former members.

The series came after her memoir, Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology. The documentary series was nominated for tow Emmy, including Outstanding Informational Series or Special. Remini is working in a second season.

Meanwhile, Kevin James and Remini will be reunited next fall, when the new season of James’s show Kevin Can Wait debuts in September, now with Remini in a regular role.

Kathy Griffin Ended Friendship With Anderson Cooper Over Trump Photo Scandal

Comedian and host Kathy Griffin revealed in an interview that she’s still living with the after-effects after she posted a photo of her holding a fake, bloody Donald Trump head, a controversial image that went viral and cost her endorsement deals, as well as her relationship with longtime friend, CNN anchor Anderson Cooper.

Their friendship goes back nearly two decades and the duo has hosted CNN’s New Year Broadcast together since 2007, almost 10 years.

After posting the image, Griffin released a video apology where she said: “I’m just now seeing the reaction to these images. I’m a comic. I cross the line. I move the line then I cross it. I went way too far,” she said. “The image is too disturbing. I understand how it offends people. It wasn’t funny. I get it. I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my career, I will continue. I ask your forgiveness.”

Despite this statement the comedian was fired from CNN’s New Years Eve special. The network tweeted on May 31: “CNN has terminated our agreement with Kathy Griffin to appear on our New Year’s Eve program.”

During this turmoil, Griffin was the target of threats and public scorn. The comedian said that other CNN colleagues had approached her to offer her support, but Cooper didn’t contact her directly till August 10, months after the scandal that threaten to end her career.

Griffin said that she understood that it was a difficult position for Cooper but what “hurt her the most” was when the CNN anchor appeared on july 26 on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen” on July 26, and said publicly that he and Griffin were still friends — despite the fact that she hadn’t heard from him directly.

“Yeah, we’re still friends, and look I said what I said about — I didn’t think what she did was appropriate, but I wish her the best and I hope she bounces back,” Cooper told Cohen.

Meanwhile, a source said that Cooper was surprised to hear  that Griffin considered their friendship to be over. “Cooper was shocked and upset by the photo, and while he was not ready to talk to her personally about it, he still considered her to be a friend, and was publicly supportive when asked about the controversy”.

Selena Gomez’s Hacked Instagram Shares Nude Photos of Justin Bieber

Another celebrity hacked! This time it was Selena Gomez’s instagram account. The singer, who ranks at the top as the most followed person on instagram (125 million followers!), got hacked and the usurpers immediately posted nude paparazzi photos of the singer’s ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber, taken from a previous vacation back in 2015.

The account was briefly taken down but now it’s back online, and the posts were deleted. The hackers included their handles in the caption and said that the “run da scene”. They also changed her account name to “islah Gomez”. The account was deactivated within hours and reactivated minutes later.

The NSFW pics of the Canadian pop star are the same images that were published after the singer’s trip to Bora Bora with beauty blogger Jayde Pierce two years ago.

The censored images were from a leak and originally posted in the New York Daily News back in 2015, without Bieber’s authorization. Eventually, the uncensored images also made the Internet rounds.

Bieber said in an interview at the time that the leaked nude photos made him feel “super violated” and, “Like, I feel like I can’t step outside and feel like I can go outside naked,”

He also said that, “You should feel comfortable in your own space…especially that far away.”

With this event it seems that fans and the world won’t let the Gomez/Bieber relationship die. The former power couple started when the two ignited romance rumors in 2010. Later on the singers confirmed their relationship in 2011, went the young stars attended the Vanity Fair Oscars party together. However the duo soon broke up. The stars were on-again, off-again for several years but appear to have called it quits for the past year.

Bieber has been connected to several people, but right now the singer is taking a break from touring. Meanwhile, Gomez has moved on to The Weeknd, her current boyfriend.

Katharine McPhee is fighting back after nude photos leaked

Katharine McPhee is fighting back. The actress, singer and American Idol runner-up responded about the publication of private images, stolen from her iCloud, after her phone got hacked.

“I was hacked sometime in the last few years, and along with other celebrities a few days ago, my private photos were blasted all over some sick and despicable websites,” said McPhee in a statement. “The photos that are mine I am not ashamed of. I love my body and they were taken for a man I was deeply in love with, or for no one but myself. But what is also truly disgusting is that these sites include photos that do not belong to me, and are not of my body, and I’ve learned this happens continually.”

The Smash star has filed a lawsuit in a Los Angeles court and seeks unspecified damages alleging that she experienced “horror, shock, shame, mortification, hurt feelings, depression and feelings of powerlessness” following the publication of the private photos. McPhee said tha she “had a reasonable expectation of privacy in the photographs on her telephone and iCloud.”

The actress also called attention to the sites that feature the images, which are stolen property. “The constant exploitation of women with no recourse for these websites is absolutely abhorrent,” she continued in her statement. “These sites, which TMZ (thank you so much) brings more light and attention to by calling them out by name (shame on you), should be shut down. Period. The end. Even if you aren’t the one hacking, if you have taken stolen photos and put them on your site, you are an accessory and should be shut down. Laws need to be changed.”

McPhee isn’t the only celebrity taking action against this privacy attack. Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn also responded after explicit images of her and ex Tiger Woods were leaked from her cellphone.

Kristen Stewart took legal action against the site that published a nude selfie of the actress with girlfriend Stella Maxwell, after the illegal hack.

Jay Z opened up about his 2014 elevator fight with Solange

Jay-Z finally talks about what happened during the infamous elevator fight with Solange back in 2014.

The 4:44 rapper was interviewed by Elliot Wilson and Brian “B.Dot” Miller for the Rap Radar podcast. After years of speculations, Jay-Z opened up for the first time about the fight that occurred after the 2014 Met Gala.

“We had one disagreement ever. Before and after, we’ve been cool,” said the hip-hop icon. “She’s like my sister. I will protect her. That’s my sister, not my sister-in-law. My sister. Period.”

Security footage showed the family scuffle where Solange hit and kicked Jay-Z while Beyoncé silently stood by, and it later made headlines all over the media:  “We’ve always had a great relationship. I fought my brothers and argued with my brothers my whole life. It just so happens, who we are, these things go into a different space,” Jay-Z said in the interview. “But it ain’t nothing.”

The “it ain’t nothing,” seems to be the final words on the matter. When the video went viral, the family released a statement saying they had “worked through” their issues. “Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred” and “acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public.”

It has been said that the family brawl was the inspiration behind the acclaimed albums: Jay-Z’s 4:44, Beyoncé’s Lemonade and Solange’s A Seat at the Table. “I think we went into the elevator as great artists,” Jay-Z said on Rap Radar. “I’ve always loved Solange’s music. I think she was slept on until this last album. … I think Bey made an incredible album before, a hundred of them. She literally had a hundred hits.”

In Jay-Z’s case, he referenced the fight in “Kill Jay-Z,” off the album 4:44. “You egged Solange on / Knowin’ all along, all you had to say you was wrong / You almost went Eric Benét,” he rapped. “Let the baddest girl in the world get away / I don’t even know what else to say / N—a, never go Eric Benét.”

Meanwhile, Beyoncé only offered a simple comment at the time of the incident: “What’s important is that my family and I are all good. What we had to say collectively was in the statement that we put out, and we all feel at peace with that.”

Meghan Markle Reveals the Top 10 Women Who Changed Her Life

A politician, an Oscar Winner, a feminist icon and a writer are among the women that inspire Meghan Markle, the actress and current girlfriend of Prince Harry.

The Suits star revealed for Glamour the list of the Top 10 women that inspire her and change her life for the better, be it through philanthropy, acting, activism or music.

Julia Roberts can take credit for inspiring Meghan to pursue a career in entertainment. “She was the first person I saw onscreen and thought, ‘That looks like so much fun; I wanna do that,'” wrote Markle about the Oscar winner. “When I was younger, someone once told me, ‘You kind of look like Julia Roberts.’ It was the best compliment of all time.”

In the literary world, Toni Morrison is the one that inspired her, since she’s the author of her favorite book The Bluest Eye. “In college I took a class on the works of Toni Morrison. The first time I read The Bluest Eye, I thought, ‘Wow! She creates this world for you that you get to feel a part of.'”

A feminist symbol also takes a spot on the list, such as Rosie the Riveter. “Growing up, I had a poster in my room of Rosie flexing her biceps,” she recalled. “When I was in grade school, I saw this sexist commercial for dish soap. With Rosie’s ‘We can do it!’ mantra in mind, I wrote a letter to Procter & Gamble, Hillary Clinton, and Nick News anchor Linda Ellerbee, who sent a camera crew to meet me. Guess what? They changed the commercial.”

Other great women that are named are primatologist Dian Fossey, US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, musician Joni Mitchell and Chef Alice Waters.

But she also reserves a special place for the woman that inspires her the most: Her mom, Doria Ragland.

“My mom’s a yoga instructor, but she does social work as well, and she works specifically with the geriatric community,” Markle said. “For me to watch this level of life-long sensitivity to nurturing and caregiving, but at the same time my mom has always been a free spirit. She’s got dread locks and a nose ring. She just ran the L.A. Marathon. We can just have so much fun together, and yet, I’ll still find so much solace in her support. That duality coexists the same way it would in a best friend.”

The actress, who looks like the perfect role model herself, is currently on a safari holiday in Botswana with Prince Harry, and the world is buzzing about the possibility of an engagement.

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom spotted together at Ed Sheeran concert

Just friends or something more? According to photos, it seems that Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom were spotted out together for a night out at Ed Sheeran‘s Los Angeles concert on Saturday, August 12.

While at the concert, eyewitness said that the duo didn’t look just as friends, but appeared to be romantic. “They definitely seemed like they’re back together. They cuddled most of the night. She sat on his lap most of the night and shared kisses.”

But this is not the first time for the former couple, since the pop star and the actor previously reunited at a birthday party for a mutual friend in April, and eyewitnesses at the event said Perry and Bloom looked just like friends. “They did cross paths and were at the party at the same time. They said hello to each other, but they didn’t hang out.”

So, does this mean the pair are back together? Only time will tell.

This reunion comes five months after announcing that they were taking a break. “They’re not the best at long distance,” said a source close to the actor back in March 2017. Besides their conflicting schedules, Bloom, who is dad of son Flynn with ex-wife, supermodel Miranda Kerr, “wasn’t ready for something more serious,” added the source.

The celeb couple dated for under a year. In February, a spokesman for the couple released a statement that read: “Before rumours or falsifications get out of hand we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time.”

Later, Perry herself broke the silence and tweeted: ‘HOW BOUT A NEW WAY OF THINKING FOR 2017 U can still b friends & love ur former partners! No one’s a victim or a villain, get a life y’all! (sic)’

Bodhi is the first child for the couple, who tied the knot in April 2015. Back in May, Nikkie announced her pregnancy via intagram, sharing a photo with Somerhalder, were she wrote

“Hi little One. I know you, but only because I feel you. How is it possible to love someone so much already? All I know for sure is it’s the strongest feeling I’ve ever felt. We’ve been sharing this body for quite some time, and we’ve already experienced so much together,” she added. “We can’t wait to meet you… Love, your parents.”

The 38 year old actor also shared his joy about his first baby via Instagram and wrote: “To our friends, family, and rest of the world. In my 38 years on this earth I’ve never experienced anything more powerful and beautiful than this. I can’t think of anything more exciting than this next chapter and we wanted you to hear this from us first. This has been the most special time of our lives and we wanted to keep it between the three of us for as long as possible so we could enjoy this time with each other and our little one who is growing so fast…because that’s what they do, they grow so fast. Thank you for your kind energy.”

The former Twilight actress recently spoke to Fit Pregnancy and explained the couple would be observing a “one month silence” following the birth of their baby. “We’ll take the baby’s first month for ourselves,” she said. “Just the three of us, no visitors, and we’re turning off our phones too, so there’s no expectation for us to communicate … You don’t get those first 30 days back, and we want to be fully present.”

Brandy Reignites her Feud With Monica Over Whitney Houston Birthday

This time a boy is not the problem. Whitney Houston birthday reignited the feud between Brandy and Monica.

Both singers posted tributes on Instagram in honor of the music legend Whitney Houston on what would have been Houston’s 54th birthday.

Monica posted a photo of Whitney with a heartfelt message “Happy Heavenly Birthday Nippy … You still inspire many & touch hearts daily… You will forever be the greatest …. You will forever be missed.”

Brandy followed up with a collage of images of her and Houston, including photos of the 1997 version of Cinderella.

“Lord have mercy on my soul!!! Happy Born Day Whitney. You live on in me… I can feel your Spirit inside of me and all around me. My angel, my friend, my fairy God Mother. I love you forever… thank you for trusting me with your torch!!!” the singer, 38, captioned an Instagram collage of photos of herself with the musical icon who passed away in 2011. “I remember every moment with you and I and will cherish these miraculous moments forever and ever! I love you… 8/9-2/11 #WhitneyHouston.”

After this, people on social media called out Brandy on twitter, accusing the singer for making a selfish and “self-centered” post. Brandy decided to answer back, commenting on Instagram.

“Monica needs to really check her evil ass fans,” wrote the “I Wanna Be Down” singer. “It’s so much stuff I can post about hateful things they say to me … but I will never have time for that. Always thinking something is about her. It’s not!!!! Me and Whitney have nothing to do with anyone but the two of us … we made history and I cared more about being with her than I did with anything else.”

Brandy also insisted Monica to “come get [her] hating ass pigeons and put them in their place the way [she] did for her when the starz was out of place. They’re low key Brandy fans anyway … always lurking and always creating new pages talking to Me. I’m not to be F–ked with today! If this was rap or hip hop you would be praised for speaking your mind but since it’s rnb you have to take the so called high road … well because I can rap just look at this as my high road.”

Brandy concluded her note by saying “Too real to be fake and because this is my idol’s birthday, I’m allowed to defend my position in her life and hers in mine. That’s what I have to hold on to.”

Chloë Grace Moretz Talks About Being Body-Shamed by a Male Co-Star

The talented Chloë Grace Moretz opened up in a recent interview about being body-shamed by a male costar when she was only 15 years old.

Moretz said that the actor, who played her love interest, made sexist comments about her body and size.

“This guy that was my love interest was like, ‘I’d never date you in a real life,’ and I was like, ‘What?’ And he was like, ‘Yeah, you’re too big for me’—as in my size,” she said. “It was one of the only actors that ever made me cry on set.”

The Carrie actress didn’t reveal the name of her co-star, but she did leave a clue by saying that the actor was around 23 to 25 years old. And considering Moretz’s age at the time of the incident, this would’ve happened around the time Moretz was shooting films like Kick-Ass 2, Carrie, and Movie 43.

Moretz said that she told her older brothers about the incident.  “I went bawling to my brother and he was like, ‘What happened?’ And I was like, ‘He told me I was too big.’ My brother was so angry,” the actress said. “I had to pick it up and go back on set and pretend he was a love interest, and it was really hard. It just makes you realize that there are some really bad people out there and for some reason, he felt the need to say that to me. You have to kind of forgive and not forget really, but it was just like wow. It was jarring. I look back on it and I was 15, which is really, really dark.”

Moretz also talked about an actor that tried to sabotage her by telling  lies to the director in order to improve his reputation while diminishing hers.

“I’ve had a younger male lead ostracize me and bring up fake issues just to try and put me in my place, and make things up to the director…things that are crazy, things that I would never do, unprofessional things that would make no sense,” Moretz said. “It’s crazy. They have this inferiority issue, and I’m like, ‘You are completely equal to me, you are no different than me.”

Despite all of that, Moretz is trying to remain positive about the future for women in the industry. “I’ve seen a massive shift just in terms of how many female filmmakers have been working recently,” she said. “We’re making big steps, but it’s a long way. We’re nowhere near the top. We’re just catching up. We have a long way to go.”
