Pink is not holding back. The always outspoken popstar spoke out against music producer, Dr. Luke, in regards to his legal battle against Kesha.
“I don’t know what happened,” the Grammy winner said of Keshas’ claims that he was sexually and verbally abusive toward her. “But I know that regardless of whether or not Dr. Luke did that, this is his karma and he earned it because he’s not a good person.”
“I have told him that to his face and I do not work with him,” said the singer in an interview with the New York Times. “He doesn’t do good business, he’s not a kind person, he doesn’t do the right thing when given ample opportunities to do so, and I don’t really feel that bad for him.”
Pink’s comments come after Kelly Clarkson revealed that she lost out on millions of dollars to avoid having a songwriting credit next to Dr. Luke’s name.
“I don’t want my name near his,” Clarkson said in an interview with Z100. “I want to pretend this didn’t happen in my life and I want to forget it… I was making a point to the people working with me going, ‘This is how much I didn’t want to do this.’ I don’t care about the money.”
Clarkson has been talking about her experience with Luke, back in 2016. ”This is only worked with him because, literally, I got blackmailed by my label. They were like, ‘We will not put your album out if you don’t do this,’” she said in an interview. “It was a really hard time for me.”
Kesha dropped her sexual assault lawsuit against Dr. Luke back in August 2016 in order to focus on releasing new music.
“My fight continues,” Kesha wrote on Twitter. “I need to get my music out. I am continuing to fight for my rights in New York. Thank you for all your support.”
